To the peak of Mt. Chise(nupri) !

by Kazu

After the long walk along the pond from the parking lot near the entrance of the trail, we crawled up the steep hillside of Mt. Chise(nupri).
As "nupri" means mountain in the language of the indigenous people of Hokkaido Ainu, I put it in ( ). Other peaks and the hollows between them could be seen even from the hillside.
It is the sign of the peak standing on top of Mt. Chise(nupri.) It is 1,134 meters high. A few horseflies had been following and annoying us. It was a little bit stressful to be obliged to hear the sound  of flying horseflies.
